Why is ipod shuffle flashing orange

Non-shuffle iPods can be reset by toggling the Hold switch and then pressing and holding both the Menu and Select center buttons simultaneously for at least 6 second. I faced this problem. This will force it to enter recovery mode.

Then, you can reset the device and it should start working again with the PC. If you backed up your iPod touch, you can restore your data and settings after restoring your device.
